dedication, discipline, and confidence,  things that will stick with them throughout their lives.  I am so
blessed to be able to have the opportunity to share this special gift with our students."

Erin became enchanted with tap at the age of 3, when she began dancing with the Carlsbad Dance
Studio. She danced there and also participated in the Carlsbad Youth Theatre, and Carlsbad cultural arts
musical productions for many years.
At age 11, she moved to Oregon and continued her dance education with Nancy Traina who introduced
her to a funky, stomp style of tap which has remained her favorite style of dance to this day.
In 2001 Erin started dancing with Dave Massey at Mira Costa College where she continues to pursue her
dance education.  She also takes classes with other various instructors around the San Diego area;
Continuing to broaden her knowledge of tap with classes from tap masters such as Lewis McKay and
Joey Latteri.
To Erin, tap equals pure fun, “Every time I step into my tap shoes I know I’m going to have a good time –
rhythm and percussion – two of my favorite things. I’ll be a tapper, as long as I live.”
